Navigating life as a mom can be crazy! We love our family and would do anything for them, but have you ever found yourself feeling like you are just one step away from losing it? Do feelings of guilt, comparison, and sheer exhaustion ever plague your day? Wondering when, if ever, you will find time to take care of yourself? Have you gained weight and fear it’s getting so out of control that you can’t stop it? Is it affecting all the other areas of your life?
Think about it…
When was the last time you had time set aside just to process? How do you process the needs of each individual family member with the needs of the family as a whole? Where do you fit in 1:1 time with your spouse to keep that relationship a priority? Are you so busy taking care of everyone else that your health has suffered? Do you need to desperately lose weight? Are you inundated with friends needing to talk, yet you never get time to talk yourself? Is there a dream of a starting a business, or a hobby, but you don’t know how you would manage it with everything else…so you just ignore those desires? What about God, are you able to connect your daily life in ways that fill you up spiritually?
Or maybe you have things under control, but you want to start something new and aren’t quite sure if it will completely throw off the flow you’ve finally found? You just wish you had someone to help you sort through it all.
This is where I come in.
I help moms figure out how to have it all and not go crazy. (The secret? Having it all is not having more, it’s having everything in just the right proportion.)
I also help moms lose weight, stop wasting money on diets that don’t work, gain confidence and get back in control of their life.
I love helping moms slow down, gain control of their lives, and learn to say no without feeling guilty so they can be who they were meant to be!
They love how they look. Feel more in control of their life. Feel pride and confidence in how they are living. They also find more joy, energy, and happiness. They are less stressed and can enjoy time with their kids and spouse. They see their daily life is connecting to their deepest values.
My specialty being to help a woman design her life in such a way that she is feeling satisfied in ALL areas of her life.
After graduating high school I gained 35 pounds in just 6 months, and felt lost as to how to lose the weight. I spent 10 years trying different diets and random exercise plans, an never could get the weight off. I came to the place where I just figured that was the weight I was meant to be. In 2007 I finally found a program that worked, I lost weight and have kept it off ever since. The best part was that as the weight fell off, I began to see other parts of myself coming alive again. I felt that inner confidence and as I took better care of myself, my whole family benefited.
In 2009 I began coaching women who wanted to lose weight and were tired of trying diets/programs that didn’t work. They needed someone they could relate to, and also to encourage them that it could be done. Having 3 kids myself, I understand how busy a mom can be, I know workouts need to be quick and it must fit what you enjoy doing! I have worked with 100’s of women, helping them to not only transform their bodies, but to find more balance and joy in their life as a result of taking time to take care of themselves. In the weight loss accountability groups I run, women feel the support that comes from being together with others who are on the same journey. They no longer feel alone, but become a part of a supportive community to help them reach their goals.
It may surprise you to know, that to me, this isn’t about looks. Sure, I love my cute little biceps and I want to feel good in my jeans. But you aren’t ever going to see me with washboard abs, or walking around in booty shorts. Those aren’t my goals. I have nothing against either of those things, (well, booty shorts could be saved for the pool or beach, but…) True beauty comes from a deep inner confidence that an extra 5 pounds on the scale can’t shake. It’s a woman being gracious to herself as she tries to lose the baby weight, all the while thanking her body for the ability to bring a human life into the world. It’s about meeting YOUR expectations of yourself, and not letting your beauty be defined my mainstream media. The goal is to lose weight and be healthy so you have energy to live life to the fullest. To be a ‘fully engaged mom’.
My weight loss accountability groups and coaching is best suited to help the mom who wants to feel good, love her body, lose weight, and get on with all the other things she cares about! Your body doesn’t define you, but you do want to feel good about yourself!
