My name is Sarah. I gained 35+ pounds right out of high school and then spent over 10 years trying to lose it. I exercised and didn’t lose weight. I went to the gym, and didn’t lose weight. I’d get up early and go walking with friends, and I didn’t lose weight. I drank crazy shakes and ate grapefruit for breakfast. I got to the point where I thought nothing would help me.
In 2007 I finally figured a few things out and I lost the weight. The best part was that as the weight fell off, I began to see other parts of myself coming alive again. I felt that inner confidence rising up and as I took better care of myself, my whole family benefited.
I’ve since helped 100’s of women do the exact same thing I have done. Lose the weight and keep it off!

I know all I wanted was to just feel good in my jeans. To not feel discouraged or defeated by the stupid scale everyday. I wanted to be comfortable in my own skin. To have more energy for my kids. What is it that you want?

Sarah, this group has made me aware of what I am actually eating. Before joining this group I thought I was doing good but in reality I was way over eating, especially late at night. I did fine during the day but at night would really struggle. Your tips helped me through this. Having the group to keep me accountable showed me that by just changing a few small bad habits I could see the weight start coming off. I loved all the fun new recipes we shared and I learned so much from the other members. I realized there is hope that I can do this!
After a rough period, I decided to make some changes. I contacted Sarah and she had a lot of good advice for me for starting the journey to better health. I just recently completed the PiYo series and I have to say I couldn’t have done it without her. She really helped me to stay focused and not give up. When I was about a month into it, I wasn’t seeing numbers drop on the scale and felt like giving up! She really encouraged me to stay with it and suggested that I do my measurements. What a shock! That’s where the loss was occurring. I was able to stick with this program and finish for the first time in my life. I know that if she hadn’t encouraged me and offered wisdom she’d gained from her journey, I wouldn’t have been as successful as I was.
What is fun and the most rewarding is when my kids walk in on me and say mom only 10 more seconds you can do it keep going. The most rewarding thing for me is to see my strength and stamina versus where I was three weeks ago. There’s no way that I could do 10 lunges on each leg and not feel like I was going to be dying tomorrow. Whereas now I know I can push my body and it responds and it doesn’t kill me the next day. I’m excited that I know just how many ounces I should have certain foods and I will make exercise a priority at least five out of the seven days of the week. So I feel increased energy, less guilt, and a lot more confidence. I am with Sarah on the fact working out isn’t just about weight-loss it’s about preventing all of those other crappy feelings we don’t want to go back to. And when I missed one or two workouts I totally could feel how off I was the next day. So greatful to have done this program. I notice I have increased muscle mass, energy and am more determined than ever to carve out me time. It’s hard to do as a full-time single mom who works full-time. But I know in the end it’s better for me and for them and I am setting an example to them that you can set goals and try and reach them the best you can!!
I’m almost to my mid way goal in weight loss and I have to say. Last Monday when I weighed in I was not quite to where I got before on the scale but I was able to put on a smaller size jeans! I definitely feel stronger this time around and so nice being in this group to keep me going! Usually by this time the weight loss slows down and I begin to lose motivation. But this time since I didn’t just focus on the scale and I am feeling great I WANT to keep going. Thanks Sarah!! And as always… I’m looking forward to the stretch tomorrow. I love Sundays!
I am very excited about my results!! So, I started at 166.8 and this mornings weigh in shows I am 158.8!! That is exactly 8 pounds lost! AND I’m still on my period!!! So, it might even be a little more?! My before and after pictures are also REALLY awesome, because I lost the majority of the weight in my “love handles”. I lost a total of 2 inches in my belly, one inch in my butt, 1.5 inches in my waist, and 1.5 inches in each thigh. EXTREMELY happy! I’m going to do another 21 days of this, I’m so close to my ultimate goal weight, only 10 more pounds!

My journey to better health began just two short weeks ago working with Sarah! I was following her page on Facebook over the past few months. Her story along with all of her posts, totally convinced me that change was indeed possible! It was definitely the inspiration I needed to give me the incentive to change my life. I began this process with the hope that I would not only shed a few pounds, but that ultimately, I would get my life back. The transformation has begun! I started a workout program that Sarah recommended. I also started to take an inventory of what I was eating on a daily basis in our accountability group. I really didn’t know what I was doing because I never counted calories before. I simply started to add more vegetables, fruits & protein into my diet. I’m now consuming anywhere from 1500-1600 calories/day and losing weight!
AWESOME news today!! My doctor called with my new numbers for cholesterol. Total cholesterol I’m down 39 pts and LDL I’m down 60 pts!!!! And to think they told me that diet alone couldn’t bring it down 🙂
Hi Sarah! I’m so excited, I can’t believe we are only on day 7 of our challenge and I have already lost 5.2 pounds!!! Thank you so much for putting this together, the group is really keeping me motivated and inspired that I can lose this weight!

Final check in for the last three weeks. I have gained an amazing support group. I am learning how to eat for fuel not for my soul. I only weigh myself every other week so. Since last Thursday I had lost 8lbs and two inches off my waist.I have weaned off diet sodas. I am down to one a day. I enjoy eating raw carrots, sugar snap peas, and celery. I don’t beat myself up if I “choose” to have pizza or chocolate. Which tonight I had three pieces of Halloween candy and enjoyed it. Thank you Sarah Failla for this wonderful opportunity to grow closer to the ultimate goal of being content with who God made me to be. I’m perfectly perfect in his eyes♡♡♡♡ Stretch marks from my babies and all. I feel so much better when I eat healthy. Here is to 3 more weeks of progress. Let’s do this one day at a time!
With the Challenge Group, I was held accountable and it made me look honestly at what I was eating everyday and if I was exercising. It was positive support and a neutral place to vent, to celebrate victories and mini goals, and to be educated on all the great things about exercising and diet, it helps people fulfull things that they never thought were possible
This month has been great for me. I’ve kicked my diet Pepsi habit, which is huge for me. The binging has decreased a lot and I have lost 8 pounds!
I did really well during the week but continued to slip on the weekends. I lost 6 lbs and loved the support from the group! I’m so glad to continue this journey into the next month.
So I was pretty excited about this! Last week I wore my size 4 “skinny jean” capris and rocked them! Plus no stomach or muffin top! It’s weird that I no longer have to “suck in” in my stomach fat! It’s been a while! Thanks Sarah! 🙂
I am most proud that I have exercised this many days in a row. I can find all sorts of excuses why not to work out. NO MORE!!!! I will not let my body go back to feeling like it did before I started this program. Thanks Sarah Failla!!
I found my coach at a time where I really needed some motivation. I knew that I had the strength to push forward, but I needed extra support. The fitness group gave me an outlet where I could express my struggles, triumphs, and communicate with people who understood what I was going through…This program has rejuvenated me, body and soul.
I feel very good about exercising, wasn’t doing it regularly for some time before this challenge. I like seeing my body change… I look in the mirror a lot when I change now, seeing the definition in my thighs is very encouraging!
