(Flowers from my friends Kevin and Simone!)
I had a great birthday last week and more than anything I did I was blessed by so many notes from friends. Words are my love language- my man knows that notes are worth a million dollars to me. Thank you for all your kind words and wishes. When I look back at my life I am just amazed at how rich it has been.
I started my day out with Turbo~ you know I would have it no other way! Plus I knew that I would be getting ice cream so wanted to burn it off before it happened! We headed to the Big Goose Pagoda which is my favorite part of town and the boys got Baskin Robins~ they are one of the only places that have sorbet for my lactose intolerant boys. Then we got the boys some chicken nuggets and proceeded to DQ where I got a strawberry/banana blizzard in a waffle cone with added in walnuts!
Jenny brought me some flowers and strawberries~
We came home for Zac's nap and then Diego had HipHip class. I was thinking he should know how much I love him- it takes about 40-45 min on the bus to get there, then an hour class and then come all the way back home! It's totally worth it for him but I was pretty tired that day so I had to tell myself it was worth it. (Remember we'd been hosting a team for over 2 weeks at this point so our days were full.) While at hiphop Chris was teaching the Life Education course for the Red Cross of China or I may have skipped hiphop and opted for dinner out! When I got home pizza sounded amazing and I was so tired I didn't want to cook so we had a late night pizza.
After the boys were in bed I headed to Jenny's house and enjoyed the end of my day with her, Kristen, Heather, and Andrea. Women that I love and appreciate more than words can say. I am so grateful they are in my life and they make China more like home.
(First 3 are my boys getting their ice cream at BR)
(And pizza with birthday candles, Zac loves to sing Happy Birthday~ it was precious!)
And last but certainly not least…some very special people are getting me a Bodybugg. I was so shocked I wanted to cry because I've been saying I want one for almost 2 years now so to be getting it is so exciting. Chris would say just go for it and I would talk myself out of it~ but a gift, you can't talk yourself out of that! It's not really because I need to lose weight- it's more because I want to continue my workouts and am more nervous about not eating enough. This will show me what I am burning and that's important to me because I want to keep my metabolism as high as I can and not accidentally be under eating each day. I will definitely keep you posted on it! And thanks to the two people who did it for me! 🙂
