It's a BOY!!! I am 17+ weeks along and yesterday we went to find out for sure if baby Failla was a boy or a girl. As you can imagine we are really excited and can't wait to meet this cute little man.
I drank a root beer before we got there as I wanted him to be awake for the ultrasound as usually he's pretty still during the day. Well, I never drink caffeine so he was totally awake and having fun. He kept playing with the umbilical cord and it was so cute to see his little hands wrapping around it. I fell in love with his legs, that top right photo is just beautiful.
I think this was a great way to bring the boys into the baby's life, they know I am pregnant but up until now it's been very abstract for them. So yesterday for them to see the baby was really exciting and they came home feeling even more attached to their little brother. Zachary is processing through some emotions as he had wanted the baby to be a girl, but that is very normal and I am glad we know now so that by the time the baby comes he will have had time to work through those emotions.
Before today I have never understood the big deal about 3D/4D ultrasounds, but not any longer! I feel I was totally able to fall even more in love with this sweet little man growing in my belly and now have these pictures to document his journey. We even watched the DVD again last night because the boys wanted to see the baby again.
I went to My First Peekaboo in Santa Maria and would totally recommend them as an option as they have a few locations here in CA! It was worth the hour drive from where we live and I came away with so many pictures that are just beautiful.
