One thing I wish I knew before I signed up as a Beachbody coach and you need to know as well is this: Where will you be placed in your sponsor coach’s team?
As a Beachbody Coach (or in most MLM businesses) you make money from sales you make, but where the money starts to grow exponentially (and passively) is when you choose to build a team yourself. At that point you are no longer just making commissions, but you are also making money through team bonus cycles and through rank advancement bonus pool money. Now, advancing in rank is you alone building your team, you only advance in rank (to Emerald/Ruby/Diamond/Star Diamond) by personally bringing people into the business and helping them succeed. This is why it’s so important to be there to train your team.
So let me tell you about team bonus cycle.
Team bonus cycle is where you get paid $14, $16, or $18 per amount of volume (sales, purchases) made from anyone who happens to be placed below you once you sign up (paid based on your rank). So these are coaches who have signed up under YOU, and they are also coaches that coaches ABOVE and BELOW you happen to put under you. This sounds confusing, but just trust me- you WANT to be in a position where your coach is putting people under you to help with these team bonus cycles. It may not sound like much money to be made through team bonus cycles, but believe me they start to add up. (I have private video training to help you understand this if you are looking to join my team- you won’t be confused.)
So my suggestion to you is that you ask the coach you are considering signing up under about where they will put you. I happen to be in what we call a ‘dead spot’ under my coach, meaning since signing up 3+ years ago I have never once had a coach placed under me by them. (And yes, my coach is actively working the business and in the top 10 of the company.) Obviously, I am a successful coach despite that, but I can tell you that if I had been placed differently my weekly team bonus cycles would be bringing in WAY more money than they are. (If you are already a coach and have been placed in a dead spot as well you can still do well financially, it just takes more time.) You can contrast that to my team, where I have NO ONE in a dead spot, so we are all working together to help each other build an income.
This is just one thing that I wish I would have known to ask about before I signed up as a coach. I still love coaching and am building a strong team of my own so it’s not a deal breaker, but it did affect how fast my weekly team bonus cycles have taken to start adding up.
If you are looking to join a team and are not in contact with a coach you want to work with you can contact me here and let me know about your questions and goals in becoming a coach.
