I recently ordered a box of Quest Protein Bars after hearing great reviews from people trust (and I know eat way healthier than I do). My order came and as I was opening it I realized something was wrong. They sent me a free bar, but then I saw 2 boxes rather than just the 1 box I had ordered. I was a little confused, thinking there's no way they would send a whole box as a free gift…I then saw that though the shipping box had my name on it, but the invoice package had a different name on it. So I quickly called customer service, I had ordered the natural line of bars and this man had ordered the regular line, plus a box of mixed berry bliss. The lady quickly found my order, apologized for the inconvenience, and then told me to KEEP THE 2 BOXES or give them away to friends. And finally, my order would be shipped ASAP.
So impression number #1: Excellent customer service.
Here's the thing that is amazing about these bars, they taste good and they are good for you! They are high protein, high fiber, and low sugar. Simple enough right?
My favorite one so far is the Chocolate Brownie. It has 170 calories, 6g of fat, 24g of carbs, 19g of fiber, 20g of protein and only 1g of sugar! Hello non-guilty treat! (I heat up all the bars as they recommend for about 15 seconds in the microwave and then with this one I put 5 almonds on top- yeah- killer treat!)
My second favorite flavor so far is the Mixed Berry Bliss. (I can see why the customer who's order I got had a whole box of just these!) It has 200 calories, 8g of fat, 22g of carbs, 18g of fiber, 20g of protein and only 2g of sugar!
Impression #2: Guilty free treat that fits in line with wanting to live healthy. It's totally a balanced snack on the go and with 20g of protein and a lot of fiber I know I won't be hungry for a while.
If you are like me and like to have quick options for a snack or on the go I think I've found the bar I will stick with. I know that we should all be eating whole foods, prepared each day, but to be honest I love a good protein bar and this one doubles as a dessert.
On the Quest Nutrition Facebook page they give out 250 free bars a day at 11amPST- each entry receives 2 bars.
My only issue with these bars is limiting myself to just one a day!!!
What is your favorite protein bar?
