Friends, I am so proud of you and how you are making fitness a regular part of your life. I am inspired by you all and appreciate that we are in this together!
So WHY are you working out?
Today I was reminded that one of my biggest WHYS is that it keeps me sane! It's like a happy pill that helps me see clearly, not be drama to my man or boys, and gives me motivation to be more productive with my day!
A few other reasons:
~ I want to be an example to my boys of incorporating exercise into our daily lives.
~ I want to do what I can now to be healthy when I am 70. I want to keep living wild adventures with my man and watch my grandchildren grow up.
~ It brings me confidence and pride to finish a hard workout.
~ I love my cute little biceps and size 8 jeans!
~ I do this because it makes me a better woman, wife, mom and friend.
Yes, losing weight is also on my list. But it is not top on my list. If it was, what happens when I reach my goal weight? I just stop? If you are only working out to lose weight and not making it into an overall lifestyle change I fear that you will lose weight and then gain it back. Or get 3 weeks into this and realize you can't lose 30 pounds in 3 weeks and quit.
(Here's that cute little bicep I'm talking about! LOL!)
Let's continue to push each other towards our goals and offer support when it seems like we may never get there. Remember your why! Whether it is your kids, your future, your lower stress levels, the 50 pounds you want to lose, or all of the above. You are worth it! Your why is worth it!
When I have days I don't want to workout I think of my why (and you guys) and do it despite how I feel. My biggest reason being I owe it to myself, my boys, and my man to be the best Sarah I can be!
I would love to hear your why if you don't mind sharing…
